Wish I could have visited him more often

Last time I saw Ron was when I was visiting San Diego in 2003. I surprised Ron and Jane at the office by not announcing ahead of time. Ron and I had a great chat inside his office, but he said "if you told us earlier, we'd have done something special." I am happy that I have visited him after all these years, because in previous times, I was a bit too anxious so I didn't pay them a visit.

This came as a total shock to me. I was notified by my friend Rofiee on Friday who also knows Ron way back. We were International Students back when, and time flies.

What they have done at the International Student Center / Office / Council have been very inspiring to me. So much so that one of the first things I have done when I moved to this new location I founded a community project mimicking the International Festival (now International Village), however, that didn't work out because of other reasons.

I consider Ron and Dave Neptune some of the most influential people in my life growing up. They are truly missed indeed.
